Electronics is a complex field, involving various circuits, components and other types of technology. The person responsible for bringing all this together is n electronic engineer. This is a role that will usually require a high level of education, such as a university degree, as well as a thorough understanding of the field and the marketplace.

An electronic engineer might work in various different industries, such as telecommunications, designing control systems, systems engineering and computer science of engineering. Their role will depend entirely on the kind of field.

Engineers might work with different types of circuits to produce different results, depending on the desired output of the circuits. They will need knowledge of various circuit components, like transistors, diodes and integrated circuits.

Electronic engineering is related to electrical engineering, though it is more specialist. This is because it deals with electronics as opposed to circuits that are using electricity and current.
